LEDs can be used for many purposes on your layout. They can be used for signals, grade crossings, lighting in your locomotives and coaches, lighting effects around your layouts and in buildings, status indicators on control panels or trackside and much more. Listed below are some of the styles and colours we currently offer.

This is only a small listing of the various types of LEDs available. LEDs are available in many sizes, shapes (Square, Round, Rectangular), and lead arrangements, and of course a number of colours. Colours are also defined in terms of the package colour and the colour the LED emits (wavelength) when it is active. LEDs for Infrared purposes and detectors are also available.

The most interesting development on the LED scene is the arrival of White and Blue LEDs. These LEDs have much higher output levels than typical LEDs which mean they can be used for a variety of interesting purposes on your model railroad. The white LEDs can be used to give you true Prototypical White headlights in your locomotives. Blue LED's can be used to create welding scenes amongst other uses.
