As
you proceed with the wiring of your layout you will have increasing need to
manage wire connections. You will require the ability to disconnect devices
such as switch machines, track blocks, signals, etc. to do maintenance or
change the wiring as your layout grows or is modified. Terminal blocks are one
of the best ways to satisfy these requirements. The terminal blocks we offer
will allow you to work with wire bundles from 2 to 25 connectors or more by
using multiple terminal blocks.
Our terminal blocks have
the following features: (shown below is a specification diagram of our
Terminal blocks with standard screw terminals):

Each wire is isolated and separated by a barrier
strip to prevent accidental connection between two adjacent wires.
- Each
terminal block has mounting holes that will allow you to attach the block
to your layout benchwork or in your electrical closets.
- Our
terminal blocks come complete with 2 #6 3/4" Round Head screws with a
Robertson screw head for easy mounting.
- All
of our terminal blocks come with standard screw terminals (see diagram)
and mounting screws are included. Terminal blocks have either
slots screw heads or Robertson/Slot screw heads. If you have a
specific preference let us know and we can order terminal blocks to suit
your requirements.
- Optional
jumper terminals (J Connectors) can be purchased to connect adjacent
terminals together. These terminals are very useful for creating
terminal blocks that are being used to create a terminal bus, for example
the power lead or common on switch machines, lighting or track feeders.
- Optional solder one side (3/4 W
Connectors) or solder both sides (W Connectors) can be purchased and used
with your terminal blocks to facilitate the soldering of connections on
your terminal blocks.
